So Monday I got an email saying there were two deficiencies in my original submission. This was seven weeks since the appointment but government bureaucracy, what can I say (GBWCIS)?
The really annoying thing is that I had both documents needed now at the first appointment! I even offered both but the agent I worked with said she didn’t want either. GBWCIS
I was told from multiple sources that if you don’t have an appointment, and I can’t get one for this, that showing up before the office opens is important because only a few such people are seen each day.
So I rented a car yesterday—you have to get the docs to the same office as the original place—and we got up early for the hour drive to Portimão. Plenty of people already outside waiting but most had appointments. We were fourth in line without.
Of course they only take walk-in document delivery between 1:30 and 2:30, no exceptions. GBWCIS
Now killing 4.5 hours and still stressing that I brought the correct paperwork. Did I mention I barely slept the night before last worrying about this shit?!?! GBWCIS
