JRobb points out what he termed the DOD’s corporate site. What I see, though, is an attempt to frame the news and deliver it from a very specific point of view; without the Defense logo, one might think one was reading a news website. Compare it to the US Treasury’s main site, for example (using a more equivalent URL for Defense makes no difference).
