Thought this George Clooney intellectual comedy would be on the level of, say, Michael Clayton, especially with the strong cast including Ewan Macgregor, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges, Stephen Root and Stephen Lang. Never made it over the hump though.

Surprising, original(-ish) science fiction out of South Africa by Neill Blomkamp, showing what can be done these days without a humongous budget and its concommitent obligations. Sharlto Copley wonderful as sad sack lead character Wikus Van De Merwe.

Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard in a Michael Mann flick remaking the John Dillinger vs. Melvin Purvis battle, what could go wrong? As is frequently the case with movies that cover a real life story the director attempts to stick too much in–most of the Depp/Cotillard storyline should have been edited out.

Awesome. Loved the 3D, Cameron really spent time to make the tech serve the movie. Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang, Zoe Saldana all above average performances. Hope the visual designers got extra big Xmas bonuses
